Come to our Fold

Thanks Jennifer! You seem to be the only one checking our blog! You should win a prize! We hoped this would be a good way to review lessons and communicate and ask questions etc., but it seems not to be working. Maybe we'll just have to use the inbox on facebook.

Fold this Thursday!!

Do any of our fold members check this blog? I changed some settings to make it easier to leave a comment. If you don't have a google account, just click "anonymous" but leave your name in your comment. I hope that makes sense.

Our dinner theme this time is "finger foods". Preferably food you can eat with your fingers rather than food made out of fingers, in case you were confused! Since it is Christmas time, we will be having some kind of gift exchange game. So bring a small gift- can be something you have at home, cookies, candy, ornament, whatever you want- less than $10 and just 1 per family. We'll have a couple extras on hand just in case.

This month we will look at what Proverbs has to say about being a good spouse!

Well it's time for another fold, and this month we are going to be looking at friendship in the book of Proverbs. At first glance, I thought about doing the study on how to choose friends, but I think a better way to approach it would be how to be a friend that someone would want to choose. Our topic last time was "The fear of the Lord" and again that is the foundation for this study. Being a good friend starts with fearing God. C.S. Lewis said that we all have a fatal flaw in us. I think wisdom in regard to friendship starts with this idea. While we are seeing flaws in others, they are more than likely seeing them in us as well, but if we both have our eyes on the Lord we will see our friends the way He sees them.
Dinner this week is gonna be a regular potluck- bring what ever dish you want. Please leave a comment to let us know if you'll be bringing a main dish, side, salad, or dessert.
See you at 5:30 on Thursday, the 19th!

Big Group!

We had a nice feast tonight! There were 13 adults and 14 kids! I'm glad we have a playroom for them! The boys had a band going. It was nice to have a few new people too!

Dinner Sunday Night!

Hello everyone, sorry we haven't updated sooner....tomorrow night we will be meeting at 5:30 for dinner and visiting. We won't try to have a meeting since there will be no child care. Some people have suggested that we have a theme for the meals. This time let's do Mexican! Maybe 2 or 3 main dishes, and some sides...please leave a comment saying what you will bring, then you can also see what we might still need. Next time we'll start this sooner, so you have time to plan ahead and go shopping if you need to! If you don't have something Mexican that's fine, we just thought that would make it easier to know what to bring. We hope everyone (husbands too!) can come!

We will be trusting God for answers to your prayer requests!

THANK YOU Krista and Stephanie!
After dinner, the kids went next door to their house to play... with raw beef! -Just kidding. It was playdough. They all had a great time! Above: Logan, Brennen, Krista with Ashlen, Meadow, Gavin, Emilee, & Hannah.
